Frequently asked questions about our services

Are you a physiotherapist?
No, I am a state-recognised sports scientist and work as a sports therapist. What that means: I do not provide medical treatment — I offer evidence-based movement and training guidance, for example as a follow-up training program after completed medical or physiotherapeutic treatment.
Does this replace physiotherapy?
No. Physiotherapy is a medical treatment prescribed by a doctor and carried out by licensed physiotherapists. My follow-up training program starts after your medical treatment has ended and helps you rebuild performance capacity for everyday life and sport.
What languages do you speak?
German, English, and Spanish — Spanish is my native language. Training sessions can be conducted entirely in any of these three languages. The initial consultation and all training materials are available in all three languages too.
What are your qualifications?
I hold a 5-year degree in sports science from Cuba (state university), recognised in Germany through the ZAB credential assessment (the German ZAB-Zeugnisbewertung, listed in the Anabin database). I have also completed further training in "Exercise therapy for clinical conditions", "Aqua Trainer Basic", and "Movement therapy for people living with cancer". I have been based in Berlin for 9 years and have 14 years of experience in outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation facilities.
Do you offer online coaching?
I currently do not offer online coaching as a standard service, because in-person movement analysis and correction is where my expertise lies. In exceptional cases (e.g. after 4+ weeks of in-person training, for plan updates), video calls are possible. Feel free to bring this up during the initial consultation.
What sets you apart from a personal trainer at a gym?
Three things: (1) Academic background — a 5-year sports science degree plus further training in follow-up training, aqua training, and oncological movement. (2) Rehabilitation experience — 14 years in outpatient and inpatient rehab facilities; I know how to structure training sensibly after completed medical treatment. (3) 1:1 format and three languages — no group gym sessions, just individual guidance in DE/EN/ES.
