What a follow-up training program is — and what it is not
- • Evidence-based training rebuild after completion of medical treatment
- • Rebuilding strength, coordination, and everyday mobility
- • 1:1 guidance by a sports scientist
- • Home visit, studio, or outdoor — depending on your mobility
- • Not a replacement for physiotherapy or medical treatment
- • Not a medical treatment in the statutory sense
- • Not reimbursed by statutory health insurance
- • No training without medical clearance
This offering is not a medical claim and does not replace medical treatment. Medical clearance is required before starting any training.
Who is the follow-up training program for?
This program is designed for people who have undergone surgery or a prolonged immobilisation phase and now — with medical clearance — wish to systematically rebuild their capacity for everyday life and sport.
After his total knee replacement, Markus completed physiotherapy — but he still feels uncertain on stairs and when cycling. He needs someone who knows how to progress safely and systematically.
After rotator cuff surgery, Anna wants to use her shoulder fully again — for her work and for swimming. Her orthopaedist has given clearance, but the path ahead feels too uncertain to navigate alone.
Hannelore recovered well from her hip surgery. Now she wants to walk safely, go shopping, and visit her grandchildren — without fear of a fall. The home visit is ideal for her because travelling is still difficult.
Common occasions for a follow-up training program
Other procedures? In the initial consultation we discuss together whether and how follow-up training makes sense for you.
What you receive in the follow-up training program
Detailed movement analysis
Julio analyses your movement patterns after surgery — gait, stability, asymmetries. This forms the basis for a safe training progression.
Individual progression plan
No off-the-shelf plan: Julio develops a step-by-step plan tailored to your procedure, your musculature, and your everyday goals.
Home visits available
In the early phase, getting around is often difficult. Julio comes to you at home (all Berlin districts). No taxi, no unfamiliar studio staircases.
Progress checks
Regular re-checks (at 4 and 8 weeks): What has improved? What needs more attention? The plan is continuously adapted.
Documented training plan
After each session you receive a written plan for your home exercises. No "trying to remember the exercises on your own".
Between-session support
Questions between sessions? Julio is reachable by WhatsApp / email (response within 24 h).
How your follow-up training program works
- 01
Free 15-minute phone call
Julio listens: What was the surgery? When was medical clearance given? What are your everyday goals? Brief screening of whether and how follow-up training fits you.
- 02
First session with movement analysis (60 min)
With medical clearance and ideally a discharge report, Julio conducts a structured movement analysis: gait, balance, strength in side-by-side comparison. The results form your personal progression plan.
- 03
Training phase (8–16 weeks)
Typically 1–2 sessions per week. Each session builds on the previous one: from stabilisation to strength, from strength to coordination, from coordination to everyday and sport-specific load.
- 04
Re-check and goal revision
After 8 weeks we measure progress together. Julio documents what has improved and where more work is needed. You decide how to proceed — no subscription trap.
Follow-Up Training Program — Pricing

What training clients say
"My physiotherapist gave me the all-clear after knee surgery — but I had no idea how to continue on my own. Julio structured everything for me. After 12 weeks I climb stairs again without thinking about it."
"I was very uncertain after my shoulder surgery. Julio explained exactly what he was doing and why — that gave me confidence. After 3 months I was swimming again."
"The home visit was invaluable for me in the first phase. I did not have to go anywhere, and Julio trained with what I had at home."
Frequently asked questions about the follow-up training program
- When can I start the follow-up training program after completing medical treatment?
- This is individual and depends on your surgery, your recovery progress, and medical clearance. Julio only starts the follow-up training program after written medical clearance has been provided. Typically, many training clients begin 4–8 weeks after completing physiotherapy.
- Does your program replace physiotherapy?
- No. Physiotherapy is a physician-prescribed medical treatment delivered by licensed physiotherapists. Julio's follow-up training program begins after medical treatment has been completed and is designed to rebuild strength, coordination, and everyday functional capacity. The two phases complement each other.
- Which surgeries is the follow-up training suitable for?
- Common occasions include: knee surgery (cruciate ligament, meniscus, total knee replacement), hip surgery (total hip replacement, hip arthroscopy), shoulder surgery (rotator cuff, Bankart), spinal disc surgery (lumbar and cervical), ankle surgery, and Achilles tendon reconstruction. For less common procedures, we discuss feasibility in the initial consultation.
- How long does a typical follow-up training program last?
- Usually 8–16 weeks, depending on the type of procedure, your baseline fitness level, and your everyday goals. Julio develops a timeline with you that is realistic and motivating — without unrealistic promises.
- Do I need a medical certificate?
- Yes, written medical clearance is mandatory for the follow-up training program. This protects you and forms the basis for a safe training progression. Ideally, you also bring the discharge report from the clinic or from physiotherapy.
- What does the follow-up training program cost?
- Single session from €90/h. 5-session package €427 (5% discount), 10-session package €810 (10% discount). The initial consultation is free. Full price overview on the pricing page.
